Overview
A party is a group of up to six players. You are never grouped automatically by standing near someone: a party only forms when the leader invites a player and that player accepts.
Rules
- One party at a time per player.
- The leader invites and can remove members. Invitations expire if they aren’t answered.
- If the leader leaves, leadership passes to the member who has been in the party longest.
- Membership is kept through disconnects, reconnects and server restarts.
- There is no loot mode for the leader to set: loot rules are the same for every party.
- A party earns the game’s capped party experience bonus.
Interface
- A compact party roster at the top left shows each member’s name, health, the leader and who is offline. A member who has died and is spectating shows an empty, faded bar with an eye marker.
- Press P to open Social › Party, where invitations can be accepted or declined. You can also right-click another player and choose Invite to Party.
- On the world map, party members appear as small green dots with their names (grey when dead) — only outdoors, and only if they allow it in Social › Privacy.
