Overview
A monstrous, low-slung four-legged predator — a crocodilian head with enormous crushing jaws, rugged dark hide and thick neck muscles. It growls and bares its jaws at anyone who comes near its den.
Behaviour
The Stonejaw is rare and unusually dangerous for an ordinary creature. It warns with a low growl and a display of its jaws, attacks intruders who persist, and strikes back at once if hit. Its jaws can clamp and hold you in place while it thrashes; it also slams sideways with its body, and its skull is hardened. Badly wounded, it escapes to cover.
