Overview
A monstrous cicada-grasshopper — tough brown-green chitin, six jointed legs, powerful hind legs and four translucent wings under ridged covers.
Behaviour
Rattlewings live in small groups and attack people they see. In a fight they rise into the air out of melee reach — where arrows and spells can still hit them — then dart down to strike, land and fight on the ground with a mandible bite, and take off again. Their alarm rattle draws nearby Rattlewings, though each joins in only if it notices you.
