Overview
A monstrous salamander / snapping-turtle hybrid — flattened skull, an enormous crushing jaw, thick mud-brown skin, small eyes, four powerful legs and a broad muscular tail. No shell.
Behaviour
The Mudjaw lies still in the shallows until someone comes too close — then it attacks with a crushing bite, a committed lunge of its jaws and a heavy shove of its body. When badly hurt it slips back to a pool.
