Shops and vendors

Where to buy and sell: a beginner outfitter on Tutorial Island and eight specialist trades in Highmere.

Overview

Vendors buy and sell at prices set by the game’s economy. Their stock never runs out. Each trade buys back the kinds of goods it deals in, for less than it sells them.

Tutorial Island

Brannoc at Brannoc’s Outfitters offers a deliberately small range of starter gear and general goods, and buys materials such as creature materials. He never sells the specialist catalogues.

Highmere specialists

Highmere is home to eight specialist trades, each with its own shop in the town’s Smiths’ Quarter: the Bladesmith, Axemaker, Hammer & Mace Smith, Polearm Smith, Bowyer & Fletcher, Crossbowyer, Armourer and Staffwright. Specialists stock common, refined and specialist materials.

Each shop’s tradesperson stands behind the counter. Right-click them to Trade, Talk or Examine.

The trade window

Trading opens a compact window beside your inventory, with the vendor’s tabs, Buy and Sell, a material filter, your gold, the goods with their prices, and details of the selected item. Your Inventory and Equipment panels stay usable alongside it.

Coming later

Other Highmere buildings — such as the General Goods & Outfitter, the Apothecary and Alienore’s Clothier & Tailor — don’t trade yet.
