Game system In development GatheringProgression

Non-combat skills

Gathering and production skills share one level 1–100 curve, separate from your character level and magic schools. Mining is the first, and is in the current development build.

Overview

EOSTRA’s gathering and production skills all use one shared progression curve, from level 1 to level 100. It is separate from your character level and from your magic school levels.

Skills are earned by doing: the server awards the experience, and you see a notice when you level up. Your skills are shown on the Skills panel.

The skills

SkillKindStatus
MiningGatheringIn the current development build
Smithing (smelting, alloying and smithing)ProductionPlanned
ForestryGatheringPlanned
FishingGatheringPlanned
ForagingGatheringPlanned
HuntingGatheringPlanned

The planned skills are built in dependency order — for example, Smithing will turn ore from Mining into metal.

The curve

The curve is a classic long one: early levels come quickly, and the last levels take far longer. Level 99 needs 13,034,431 experience, and level 100 needs 14,391,160.
