Overview
Iron ore: heavy, rust-brown rock with a dull metallic sheen.
Iron Ore is extracted from iron deposits with the Mining skill. You need Mining 15 to extract it, but you can Examine and discover it at any level.
Where it is found
The Western Wilds are the strongest accessible iron country inland.
What a miner can tell
A hard iron-bearing outcrop. It resists the pickaxe — timing matters.
Use
Iron ore. Smelts into iron at a furnace. Smelting and smithing will come with the planned Smithing skill.
