Overview
Coal: black, brittle layers that stain your fingers.
Coal is extracted from coal deposits with the Mining skill. You need Mining 10 to extract it, but you can Examine and discover it at any level.
Where it is found
The Western Wilds hold more of these seams beside their iron.
What a miner can tell
A shallow coal seam between harder strata. It breaks easily but the seam is wide.
Use
Coal. Fuel and carbon for ironworking. Smelting and smithing will come with the planned Smithing skill.
